First Contact Mental Health Practitioner

If you are feeling sad, anxious or experiencing low mood then telephone or face to face appointments are available with our Mental Health Worker. Please just speak to a member of our team to make an appointment. The can liaise with your GP and arrange for you to start medication where necessary.

Pharmacist / Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacists ensure that you get the maximum benefit from your medication. They can consult with you to review your medications, discuss starting or stopping certain medications as well as offer advice on medicine combability etc.  Please speak to a member of our team if you wish to discuss anything with a member of the Pharmacist team

Social Prescriber

Social prescribing link workers connect people with local community activities and services that can help improve their health and wellbeing. A vital part of their role is to build relationships with the people they are helping by listening carefully to what’s important to them and what motivates them.

Practice nurses are available for you to consult by appointment. Services include dressings, routine immunisations, cervical screening, doppler. Please note we no longer offer ear syringing at the surgery. 

They run clinics for the following: 

Diabetes, Asthma, Cardio/vascular, Hypertension, Child Health. Travel advice is available within normal treatment room sessions. You may meet any of our four practice nurses as they have differing work patterns.

External Health services

Working within Glebe House Surgery are the district nurses, health visitors, midwives, psychologist, primary mental health care worker, social worker, chiropodist, speech therapist, family planning doctors, and dietitians.
